Forming a local DG REI Club

Forming a local DG REI Club

I figured I would post this just to give you guys and gals a little food for thought.

A lot of you have read my posts and know me one way or the other. I have tried to participate on this site as much as possible, tried to help others and get others to help me. I still consider myself a newbie since I have only been here for few months.

I got all nice and ready to do some deals and then I realized that there is no reason I should do this alone when I live in the New York City and there are alot of people on this site who live in NY or NJ or CT or even PA which is not THAT far. I looked at the REI clubs section here and see posts from people that keep saying that we should organize and help each other and so on and so forth, but noone really took the time and coordinated this. So I posted few times that I am looking for 5-6 people to organize into a local DG Family Club. I posted it once, twice, got to talk to few people over the phone and email but it didn't bring me anywhere close to my goal of 6. So, at the risk of being annoying and being yelled at, I started PMing people who I knew were local.

Guess what?!?!? We now have 8 people! We are having our first meeting in 2 weeks. This is beyond great! I love the fact that I was able to get everyone on board and I still get PMs from people and emails about wanting to join. I feel that I started something good here on the local side of Dean Graziosi's site.

I guess the point that I am trying to make is that don't be shy. Especially the new people, fairly new people, or even pros. Everyone will tell you that it is easier to cross Everest with 10 people rather then 1. Don't be shy, take the initiative. Form your local DG REI club with meeting and plans and so on. Then it will even be easier to network between the clubs across the country. There is always strength in numbers! I am sure everyone will agree.

That's all. Just wanted to put it out there. Get organize. No sense in trying to do everything alone when there can be 10-20 of you. Not to mention, you will build those long lasting connections and friendships. One can never have too many!
