Partner on a deal

When the contract is written, both parties sign the bottom line. Somewhere in the contract, it is written who owns what percentage of the property. It is safer in a business contract be it S, C or LLC to have one owner and the other party can be setup as an employee with equal rights. When you write the contract for an equal partnership, you can agree that the two parties, we will name A and B, each own 50%. This gives both parties equal rights with further language stating who may sign future contracts, checks or any decisions making in future endeavors and if both parties must sign said contract in event of a sale. However, it can be and usually is stipulated that any an all parties/owners have signing power, or equal power to commence business but requires both parties to sign future contacts.

I hope this answers your question. All states have different contract law. You're better off hiring an attorney who can write up a contract and answer your legal questions specific to your State of residence.

Sort of when your Mom and Dad by a home they usually put both of their names on the deed.
