OfflineI thought maybe we could all share some of the perks we've gotten through our REI. Watching Dean's 3rd video of the month, and him sharing some of the benefits in his life made me think it would be motivating for us to do the same. NOT to brag, but to get people excited! We've talked a lot about our struggles and REI successes so far and what we'd LIKE to do. Let's share some of the blessings we've received.
This year alone, because of REI success, we have been able to pay cash for:
A Dodge Stratus with 26,000 miles on it
A 24ft camper trailer
A 14 ft airboat from Florida (my husband is going to turn it into an ice-fishing boat for Lake Superior)
A 10-acre piece of property on the river with a brand new 40x40 pole barn, with finished living quarters. (not cash, but rentals are paying for it, and value will only increase)
Our daughter’s school tuition
I've been able to travel 3 times to Tulsa to visit my kids, in spite of the gas prices.
AND we’ve been able to give generously to our church and other charities that are important to us. Feels really good to help out!
Of course, I use the same principles in buying ANYTHING as we do in REI. Get the BEST possible deal you can! But I am not kidding, if we just had my and my husband's incomes from our jobs, NONE of this would be possible.
Just think of the possibilities REI provides!! It's really true. Your life can be transformed!

Its not as exciting as Rinas but its what I was able to afford.
Paid (2) kids tuition to school for year
Used profit from assignments to put down as down payments purchase two other homes
Able to pay for my chemo/radiation treatments - totaling almost $11,000 over the last few months.
AND.....seriously, able to buy that $20.00 pair of shoes (I have not bought new shoes for myself in almost a year because I could not afford them) smile
Bought NEW laptop
Brought my net worth up SIGNIFICANTLY!
These may not seem like big things but to me they mean the wold. This coming from a girl that had no idea where her rent was coming from 3 months ago.

NOW!!!...thats WHAT I am talking about Rina. and you are right, I cant wait to see next years list either. So guys, post what you have achieved from using Deans book and/or programs. Even if its small, let others know. Cause inspiration goes a longgggggg way.

My blessings from REI:
I have to admit, I also bought myself new shoes, I hadn't done that in two years. I can't believe my Fila lasted that long... So I know exactly what you mean Anita girl.
I bought my children new clothes, shoes and even bathing suits.
I was able to move my family into a bigger house in a better neigborhood.
I bought a newer van and gave my old one to my nephew.
I bought and sold five other autos @ auctions for a year.
I bought my oldest daughter her first car for graduation.
I bought my first laptop and put up my first website.
I bought four keyboards and gave one away.
I was able to take my daughters on a few road trips.
I was able to continue my REI education.
I lived off the income for 18 months without having to work.
I used my knowledge and bought my dream home with all the trimmings.
The biggest and best blessing was being able to bless others!
What a difference my life is now compared to four short years ago.
Yes, God is good... He has truly provided for us!

Thanks for reminding me why I'm doing this. To provide for me and my loved ones. To most importantly, change lives. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. Keep fighting the good fight and encouraging others like me. Thank you.

Thanks for bringing this back up. I am blessed to have this OPPORTUNITY to change my life and situation. I know it can be done...Rina and Anita and Elena have shown that women can do it, and do it very well. Even broke, cancer-survivors.
