There has to be more of us in NC than I've seen so far!!!

formally from the smithfield/clayton area looking to establish re team in this area as well as fayettville.
currently living in md.and due to family reasons i'll have to at least be a dual resident,however i miss nc bbq and sweet tea 'cause they just don't do that here lol.
like matt larson i want to have my buy and holds in this area because i eventually want to move back to this area,although i'm working more on wholesaling in the md./del. market.
n.c. is to be my retirement re farm so to speak.
any help with rei clubs or any help to set up my team would be greatly appreciated.

I am looking at property in Charlotte and it looks like things may be starting to pick up there? How is the local economy? Are property values still heading down? What say you?

It's great to see so many people in NC excited about Dean's books and RE Investing! We just finished reading and RE-reading Dean's book "Profit from Real Estate Right Now"...it's awesome! I'm going to look at my first home tomorrow at lunch. We're HOPING it might be a home for us (so we can quit renting) if we can get the owner to finance it themselves. If not, we hope to find an investor, if it turns out to be as great a deal as it appears to be! Any tips on what I should ask or say tomorrow at the meeting with the homeowner? I'm so nervous and excited at the same time. This RE Investing is SO important to us...it is our "way out" of renting, debt, you name it. Best Wishes! Deb

Just recently moved to Matthews, NC- just outside of Charlotte- and I'm ready to jump into the REI pool, so-to-speak.
Alot of what I'm reading on this thread sounds familiar...yeah, I'm nervous, scared, but positive.
I'm finishing reading DG's book, & now all my chips are on the table- I'm all in.
