My wife and I are brand new Investors and are currently working on putting together our Cash Buyers list so that we can get the ball rolling to find out what the buyers in our area are looking for. I am currently trying to mail merge the list that we have through an excel format but am having a bit of trouble putting that together. I would like to know if anyone else has any suggestions as to a simpler or even more efficient way of structuring the list so that we can get the letters sent out?

I love that you are using mail merge to make your offers. Anything you can do to speed up the offer process will pay off big in the end. As I'm sure you have heard it's a numbers game and the more offers you can get out there the better. Based on your comments I'm not sure exactly what trouble you are having but I know if you can get the bugs worked out using an organized system will help in the long run. If you want to provide more detail I'll see if I can help. If it's an issue of simply knowing how to mail merge I suggest watching some videos on youtube.com. I did a quick search and there are hundreds of videos that teach you how to do it. If it's more specific let me know.
Again, great move.

Thanks for the information. My wife and I just looked it up on you tube and now have completed the mail merge. I am now on my way to mail out the letters. Oh yeah success as an investor here we come.

I just upgraded my printer from an inkjet to a laser so I can produce my letters for cash buyers as a reduced cost. Mail merge works great for the letters AND the envelopes. I'm working on getting electronic postage to print right on the envelope (Stamps.com). I actually involved all three of my kids when it comes to folding letters and stuffing envelopes. The more automated your system can be the better off you will be down the road. If you haven't read The E-Myth by Michael Gerber and The Four Hour Work Week by Timothy Ferriss, I highly recommend them!! Learning to think "outside the box" or as Dean puts it "Think A Little Different" is key to your success.
