Hi, my name is Ken Siew from NYC, but I happen to be doing business in Delaware for a bit. And thus the post title.
I just got Dean's Rock Bottom Blueprint and got started with the 30-day Quick Cash Formula. I made my first call with one of the local real estate offices today, and talked to a guy with 30+ years of experience. The agent appeared to be a little pessimistic about the market right now, although he did a deal with another investor. Again, I had no clue about what the market is like down here, but I just did what Dean told me to and requested listings and additional info from him. I am confident about this opportunity and I'm not going to let anyone talk me out of it.
My confession: Even though it's not my first time talking about business over the phone, it was rather nerve-wrecking because I didn't know what to expect plus I didn't know most of the detailed real estate stuff. But I did it anyway. I reread and practiced the notes many times before the call, but the real practice only came after I dialed the number and pressed 'Call'.
The lesson I learned here is this: set your ultimate goals high (to ask my real estate agent friend for referrals and call 5 real estate offices), but give yourself a minimum goal to achieve each day (for me it was talking to my friend and calling 1 office). So you will feel accomplished every day instead of beating yourself up. I'm going to step it up and talk to at least 3 tomorrow to find my perfect real estate agent!
Hope to learn and share with everyone here going forward!
Real Estate Investor, if you would like the chance to work with me in the US East Coast, send me a PM (Private Message) anytime to see if we are a good fit for each other.
Wishing you abundance,
Ken Siew
I agree with your goal to achieve something everyday, even if its something little. Just doing something everyday definitely build momentum, which ultimately builds results.
