OfflineHello DG family I'm back, I took some time away to deal with some personal matters, I lost my mother in August of 09 and my dad this past February. I miss them as a son always will but I know that they would want me to continue following my dream and achieving my goals. This is the first day of my new beginnings and I am determined to make good on the promise I made to myself. I would like to take this opportunity to encourage all new comers to this site to stay focused and persistent. Dean has brought into reality a place where dreams do come true if you are willing to be true to yourself and stay devoted. I've gained a lot of valuable information from this site and now I'm going to use it to refresh myself and regain the confidence, drive, motivation, and resilience I need to push forward to my goals. For all of the other family members that have completed at least their first deal stay focused and continue helping the rest of us. I thank you in advance. Family I didn't mean to take up a lot of your time with this post I wanted to say I'm back. If I can assist anyone in anyway just send me a PM.

I lost both my parents in 2009 as well, 11 months apart, so I can relate.
At first I was saddened because I could not share my success with them but I had to pull myself out of that if I was ever going to make it for my children. After all that is what they would want me to do.
You are right they would want you to pursue your dreams. Make them Proud!!!

I am so sorry to hear about your parents. I've lost both of mine, and I know the devastation you are going through! You are doing the right thing in pushing forward with life. I lost my grandma too in August; I was her caretaker for over 5 years. Welcome back to REI!

Hello lbrown and welcome back you have made the right choice in coming back and to change your life as a whole. I lost my father just last year in Nov right before Thanksgiving and buried him on my wedding anniversary to top it off. So these two days in november are and will be hard to celebrate due to this but I am not stopping where I am. Before my dad passed away I kept him informed of my investing and the like since he had at one time a rental property and had no luck but lost in the action so I want to give it my best and see what I can do and how far I can go. So lets see what we can do in this even after such tragic loses in the family.
