Weekly Wisdom #261 - Making an Impact

A few months ago we did a promotion for the “Abundance” book. Here’s an update on what you helped to do for the tornado victims. You’ll also hear how making an impact in the lives of others is often easier than you think – and does wonders for your own sense of worth too.

Abundance

Thank you Dean and Chad, and all the others that made this happen. What I could afford to do would have been appreciated, but wouldn't have been enough to make a significant change. But, by acting together, doing what we could, when we could - the sum of the whole, surpassed the sum of the parts. Many blessings to all of you that took action.

Helping and loving others

Sometimes I go to the nearby grocery store for a sandwich or cup of coffee. There is always someone who needs a smile or a compliment. they tell me some of their stories and we have a little visit. I'm not rich but my words are rich to a lonely person. That is my ministry. When I get in bed, I try and remember to thank God for my warm bed, food and friends and all my blessings God has bestowed on me. Spread the Christmas Spirit around you every day. Love you.

Making a difference

Thank you Dean for sharing your story. I have been in a very hard place in my life when I was a single mom and one of the things with this real estate business my husband and I have decided when we get this company making lots of money, we want to donate a house and furnish it for a single mom or dad with children who are in need of help. I carry a blessing bag with me at all times in my car to bless a homeless person who may need it. I also brought a homeless man home from church and he spent the day with me and my husband and 2 daughters on Mother's day. I washed his clothes, we fed him, he took a shower, and my husband gave him lots of clothes and his favorite hunting backpack. He has never spoke to anyone except my husband that day, he told my husband thank you for letting him spend time with our family and taking care of him.

I'm glad

I'm glad I was able to be a part of this very helpful movement. I'm sure Chad did a great job helping those people on our behalf.
As for your generosity Dean, words cannot express. The joy one feels when one helps another human being is immeasurable. Whether it be for a minute, a day, a week or a lifetime, those gifts of your efforts are remembered for a lifetime. You might never know for sure but THAT act may have been the catalyst that saved a life or lives. It's not the amount you gave but the act of giving that will be remembered. Not a bad way to celebrate the spirit of the holiday Eye-wink I'm sure it's something your children will continue throughout their lifetimes and the generations to come (or at least let's hope so).

Thanks for yet another dose of your kindness and generosity.

That's the way we should help each other

Hi Dean & the DG Family: I personally applaud you Dean for taking
the time with your kids to show Love to the less Unfortunate. You
will get your reward for this, remember it is better to give, than to
receive.

Nice

Well that was nice and your kids learn to think of other people also and get to see and feel how much they can help someone with even just a little thing. The people you helped will always remember that there are people who do care about them, it was a great message. you will always feel good when you help someone who really needs it.

time for graziosi's real estate

i tried to enter your amazing $500 sweepstake last week yet, was unable to find the 'internet time'!
apparently as of today, my 'santa monica college' is cutting back on computer lab hours?? sad, yet an apparent reaction to the economic state of the world! if only we could reinvest in the resl estate of the 'world trade center's'!! now, though it must be 'mimi mimi' proclaiming 'dean's amazing reality!'

great weekly

Awesome Dean,
First sending Chad to Ok. :)his energy would have been right at home there. There are no words for the feeling after helping to anybody that doesn't even know you. Wow, for the little ones to experience and learn that feeling at their age is a life changing experience. You are successful on, the bestest dad in the world in many eyes, including those two.
