Opps!
I just started entering in this journal thread yesterday, and after reading some of the posts,it looks like I am a bit confused as to the purpose. It looks like there are other threads to enter specific subjects in REI.
So anyway, I am a native or Eastern N.C., a U.S. Army DAV, a sailor and have one grown son, lost my mother Nov.'06 and my husband April'07 and am still in the stage of starting my life over.I have travel all over and love to live here in the east compared to the west. I live on the "crystal coast" and the mountains are only 4-5 hrs away. Apparently there are alot of others who like it here, since so many relocate here. Coastal properties were bought up long ago by the "snow birds" to the point that there isn't much left, so now the mountains are the next big thing. The winters are mild and summers are humid. For those of you who move here and are not use to the humidity, plenty of water and as little clothes as possible!
Here's to this having a positive experience, hopefully, by the first of the year!
