If you are buying a home and it has an electric water heater……What do you look for when inspecting the water heater?
You will look for similar things like you would for a gas water heater. Keep your eyes open for water leaks under and around the water heater. Also look for rusted tank and wobbly feet under the water heater. With an electric water heater you will have two heating elements, one at the top half and one at the bottom half. Most problems with the electric water heaters are the heating elements (one or both) stop working.
