I just finished up a conference in Calgary this past weekend. It was a great event, and the people in the class were amazing. There was a huge gap in the experience level of all of the participants. Some had never bought any properties, and some had multiple property portfolios.
Although there was a huge gap in experience levels, each of the participants worked together and started pooling resources and combining experience to start getting deals done.
Knowing that there were contractors, people with access to deals, people with access to money, and people with credit, made it so a whole group of people could be involved. This is the same principle used in investment clubs, and can be very helpful to beginning investors.
It helps people be more motivated to have to report to other members of the group, and for members who may have fears about getting started, It helps them to gain the confidence they need to move forward, knowing their risk has been mitigated somewhat, and that they have other people to back them up.
They are forming their own investment group, and there are already offers on multiple properties from the weekends events. This is the way investing should be done. A spirit of cooperation and support among individuals is the only way to go, and it gets results.
Take advantage of the networking opportunities in your area, and the success will follow. Happy hunting, and make sure to post your success in the forum so others can follow in your footsteps!
