This is the way all three credit bureau's operate and they operate independently of each other which can cause a great deal of misinformation being spread to all consumers.
The first step in fixing any credit is to write all three credit bureaus or go to the government site that allows you to request your once a year credit report. Here is the link.
Once you get your credit reports, MAKE COPIES of the originals, then put them somewhere safe. Use the copies as your scratch pad to make marks and notes on which errors need reporting. I'll write more as I move along in my own error correcting methods.
