Foreclosures-MLS-Ohio-possible trouble....advice??

Hello all,
Questions for Ohio foreclosure investors. recently I ran thorugh some foreclosures. Did the short sale myself,found buyer... did a double closing..etc. Made some cashola in the end.
I got a call from the real estate commission that says i was in violation of some laws saying I could not sell real estate without a license? Becasue of the soube closing..i owned the property even if it was for a day. I did the closings through an experienced attorney but wanted to know if anyone else has run into this....
Any thoughts...comments would be greatly appreciated.
