Does having your real estate license restrict or disturb your investment possibilities?

I woud like to know how and if having a real estate license restricts your investment possibilities.I heard so many different things about this, and I dont know what to believe or how accurate the info is that I have received. So can someone help to clarify this issue for me. Thanks DG FAM...
