OfflineI am an active duty Navy spouse of twenty years. My husband has been in the Navy for 24 1/2 years. We have two beautiful daughters. I worked for Marathon Oil & Gas and bought my first property when I was 25 years old. I bought a Mobile Home Park Cmmunity with 14 lots and worked at it part time. Over a period of five years I bought trade-in and repossesed homes so now we own the land and ten of the homes with rent ranging from $600 to $750 per month. When our youngest daughter was three months old I left the Oil and Gas business and decided to work at the park full time. It allows me to be at home with our children and to travel and meet my husband at his duty stations.
This month we sold (owner-financed) our vacation home so we will have an additional $500 per month positive cash flow.
We made these deals and have profitted from them but we hope to learn new techniques in real estate to be able to become debt free and to be able to retire in 2013 and be able to travel and make up for so much time we have spent apart.
