Hi guys! I think this is a wonderful group that I've become a part of and hopefully can get some insight on some things, but I don't see a first post yet...so here goes.
I'm what everyone calls a "newbie" and have not done my first deal yet, but I'm starting to do a lot of posting and emailing and I actually think I've convinced myself that I've joined the ranks of a REI! 
In trying to get my feet wet, I've called a person that had a sign on their truck that said "We Buy Houses" to see if she could use a bird dogger. When I called, a woman answered so I began with the questions in the book, what type of properties are you looking for, what price range, that sort of thing. And well, she said she's looking to buy everything in every price range and all locations??? Now, I know that I'm new, but should I be kind of cautious of this, or do you guys think that she's just as new and is getting her feet wet also? How do you think I should proceed with this?

It's November, have you completed any deals yet? Im curius to know if the academy is worth it.....Most people that say it's worth it are actually still in the course....Im not seeing to many people that have completed the academy and have gotten there money back....
How does the part of getting your money back work anyway? what are the ruled and guidelines?

Hey whats up. As far as the academy is concerned, I think it is what you make it. Personally Im not the type to rate my success on the progress of others. If you would to keep track of what Im doing as a member of the success academy, I invite you to check out my journal in the "Member Journals" section. From what I see there are a lot of people that go through the academy and have success. You need to visit the Success stories videos on this site.
As far as getting my money back I have not heard anything about that. After I complete these deals I would not care about any money back anyway. I will have the knowledge to go make my own money.
Hey the best thing I could tell you is to go for it. Success is not a destination its a journey. So with that being said and done, there is no time limit on success. Some people jump out the gate fast and some slow but no remembers how the horse jumps out of the gate it only how you finish that matters. The success academy is definately helpful because it gives you all of the nuts and bolts you need to build your empire. You dont have to take it to become successful but for me it help me put things in better perspective.
Whatever path you take you or whatever race you run, You have to be in it to win it.

Hey Kenya, Welcome - I joined the academy earlier this year and yes it is online. The academy helps you avoid all the mistakes other investors made and learned from. Not to mention all the RE knowledge you will gain. You can give them a call and then they will have someone call you if they think you are a candidate for the academy. Good luck and much success!!

i call myself an investor becouse thats what i am
eaven if you have no money if you invest your time then your an investor.im in nyc and using deans think alittle diferent book i got out of a home that i realy lost from lack of knowledge but i managed to get my new home for no money down and 5,000 back at closing so no one really knows i lost the other home i said i sold it and used profits to buy this one.
anyway i got laid off and went into foreclosure opend up deans book again and am currently in the final stages of my loan mod. i was paying 3393 a month and now i am going to pay 1783 a month.
deans teachings are true proven to my self twice so now i have joined the aff system and need some help getting up and running step by step kinda thing i would be more than happy to share the proffits i make for any help one way or another i know i will make it and im never scared to ask for help.
hopefully one day i will be in a position ti give the help some one else needs i know i dont know any of you but im glad im here with like minded people and together i trully beleave we all can make it happen.

I just joined this morning and have read two or three threads. All seem quite interesting and overwhelming. I see people are in all different stages and directions. I guess my question is what is the best way to get started? Or better still what is the best method of getting started? Should I do the academy first? I know I have a lot of questions, but all I need is to be pointed in the right direction, and I will do the rest.

I am no expert yet (seeing as I haven't done any deals, yet), but I would suggest that you read Dean's books first: Be a real estate millionaire and Profit from real estate now. Also continue to visit this site as much as you can! I am still reading the first book and learning so much...hope this helps!

I am apart of the Success Academy and they are a great group of people. I have started to put out flyers and posting ads online for cash investors, but I have gotten any responses as of yet.
Yes I am new to RE and thats why I joined the acacdemy for the one on one support and to answer any questions that I may have once I get deals started. I am sort of new to the area where I live, which means I do not know any RE agents, lawyers , appraisers etc... So I will be working on my deals basically on my own starting from scratch. I am looking for someone or some people in my area so that I can get the RE ball going.
Any help that I can get would be appreciated.
