Making my move...

I have sat on the sidelines for long enough. The time has come to take action and take advantage of the great resources that Dean provides, the DG family contributes to, and that I have read through a million times with a million excuses as to why not (not now, maybe next week, when I get some more time, etc.......). No More! I am not guaranteeing success, but I am guaranteeing that I will make an effort and make a change in how I approach this opportunity.

To all of the DG family; THANK YOU for your contributions to newbies like me who are scared, unsure, or simply ignorant.

To Dean; THANK YOU for your continued presence and persistence in supporting all of us. I will thank you personally one day, when I get invited to one of your events as one of your top students. Smiling

Realtor vs bandit signs

I am confused by the guidance. In the 25:1 strategy, it is mentioned several times by multiple sources to get leads from the realtor (filtered, of course). Apply the second filter and make offers accordingly.

However, Matt and Dean both have stated that FSBOs are the way to go and 99% of the deals are not found through the MLS. Those FSBOs are found through bandit signs and other methods.

Why would I go through the realtor/MLS when the deals are not there to be found (at least 99% of them)?

Someone please help explaining what part I am missing.
