Wow!!! Yesterday was such an amazing and uplifting day! It started with an e-mail from our Realtor coming in at 6:30 am with the cash buyers list I had asked her to mail me and the results were WAY better than I had expected. This gave me a boost to get going into the rest of the day. Next on the agenda was a workshop/housing expo/house tour in a local community where we are looking to start out in our REI venture. We toured some nice houses, got some great info and made even greater connections. Later on we were supposed to go see a property we are interested in for our primary residence but it never happened because the listing agent did not return any phone calls, more about this later
I just spend the rest of the evening filing my new cash buyers list and starting to get their contact info which seemed more complicated that I thought it would be.
Now today was a VERY different story. It started out this morning with my husband approaching a person whom we had chosen to be part of our power team BUT it turns out he does not share or even closely understand our vision (though he has background and experience in RE) matter of fact he is a BIG 'naysayer' and was therefor taken of our list, but that is OK because we WILL find the right person for this 'position' on our team!
The day continued on with some bird dogging after church. Later on I continued working on our buyers list off the info received from our Realtor but I have the feeling that something is not right either with the way I am doing it or with the info I received.
To continue with the frustration I did my daily personal follow up on our primary residence property prospect and realized that it is marked as "under contract" on the 'Fannie Mae Homepath' website, my heart almost dropped. Checking the listing agent's website a little more detailed we realized that it is TOTALLY outdated which probably explains him not returning any phone calls. I e-mailed our agent immediately to check into this and hopefully it will not be too late.
We will see what tomorrow brings!
