Today is the last day that I will be working as a psychologist. I have worked with substance abusers, murderers, child abusers, rapists, sexual offenders, ad nauseum. I have come to the conclusion that I may have helped a few people along the way; and for that, I am happy. However, the majority of this population will not change; and for that, I am exhausted.
I look forward to my retirement party this afternoon even though I will be saying goodbye to my staff. But, I am ready to go!
Tomorrow morning my husband, Fred, and I will have our first call with our Academy mentor. We are both excited and a little anxious. I am ready to pursue something that can have really positive results!!!
